OFF DUTY MUMMA STYLE

OFF DUTY MUMMA STYLE

Since becoming a mummy to Alfie, my style has changed so much! During the week, when I’m not shooting for the blog or off to a work appointment, I’m either at a swimming lesson, sitting on the floor at a sensory group or getting muddy in a park or playground with my 16 month baby boy. I’ve always loved casual style and always felt most comfortable (literally) in more dressed down outfits, but my lifestyle has changed so much as a new mum that my “practical” off duty wardrobe has now taken over everything else.

Because of the amazing Summer we had, I found myself literally in loose fitting maxis & sandals all day long for 4 months straight, but now that the temperature has dropped and we’re approaching the Winter season I’ve begun to think about some transitional pieces that I can wear whilst I’m on “mummy duty” but still feel myself and put together. It’s not quite cold enough for big puffas and boots, so I’ve found a new love for the “maxi cardi” and seem to have three new styles in my wardrobe already which I can’t take off! Take it from me, the maxi cardi is probably the most useful staple you will own in your wardrobe; I’m loving wearing them layered with stripe tees or logo tees with either a pair of straight leg jeans or side stripe joggers. They seem to go with everything and just pull an outfit together in the most effortless way… as well as being practical enough to wear whilst I’m running after my little walking talking toddler!

Mischa Lounge maxi cardi | Boden tee | Citizens of Humanity jeans | Golden Goose trainers | Gucci bag | Ray Ban sunglasses | Babyzen Yoyo buggy

Gap jacket | H&M top & trousers set | Camper shoes (similar here)
