PARTY DRESSING WITH TOPSHOP

PARTY DRESSING WITH TOPSHOP

It’s our favourite time of year…and how excited are we?! We love everything about the Christmas period, the food, the family time, the cosy dressing and of course the party wear. We probably don’t get our glad rags on enough these days; so when we do, we like to do it properly & in honour of that, today’s post is all about how we’re getting dressed up this party season.

Now for those that have seen on our Instagram, we are working with Topshop over the next few months on a very exciting campaign, with our first focus being on all things party. And as full blown #topshopgirls most days of the year; we are thrilled to be sharing our favourite pieces for the party season with them. As well as our edit in the Oxford Circus store (literally a dream come true for us!) we have styled up our key party looks below. P.S make sure to watch this space,  there is more coming to Topshop this month!

As for party trends this winter it’s all about the detail & Topshop has got it spot on. Opulent embellishment, glamorous beading, glittering sequins, rich velvets, tough leather… the key is those luxe textures & fabrics & how to mix & match them for that failsafe party look. Although it does sound quite out there, you don’t have to wear it all at once (!) the ‘Twinset’ way to do it is by sticking to an all black palette. Music to your ears, right?! We’ve picked one statement piece, naturally it’s embellished velvet for the both of us; which we’ve styled simply with skinny trousers and a statement heel for the finishing touch.
Scroll below for our full looks…

More party perfect wares we’re loving:

Philippa’s wearing:
Velvet embellished top | Leather lace up trousers | Pointed heels

Sarah’s wearing:
Velvet beaded jacket | High waisted cigarette trousers | Cami | Gem Court Shoes  | Black bag (similar here)
