Firstly thank you for all your lovely emails and comments about my Marrakesh blogpost; it was a fun one to put together and obviously an incredible trip too. Now as well as the adventure of any trip abroad there’s no denying it’s all about what’s inside that holiday suitcase too. As I mentioned in my Marrakesh blogpost; I openly admit to being a bit of a panicked packer, I feel like I have to get everything remotely summery out on the floor/ bed/ any open space, try everything on and put outfits together. I have however come to realise the importance of investing in some good quality items for any holiday; especially when it comes to swimwear and beachwear. Personally I do find it hard to feel totally comfortable half naked around the pool – but I am working on it! It does however help when you’ve got some killer bikinis and coverups to up that confidence.
With that in mind I wanted to share with you some of my favourite beachwear brands that I have come to love over the years, most of which I have been introduced through this lovely world of blogging. Of course there will always be those big brands that we all adore but I wanted to shout out to some smaller brands (soon to be taking over the world might I add!) all run by fabulous ladies doing there own thing AND doing an incredible job of it as well!
First up my lovely friend Holly from Pampelone. She is the Queen of resortwear and I would seriously never contemplate a holiday without a chic dress (or ten!) from her. The price points are so good and the styles and shapes are what you actually want to be wearing summer after summer. Plus I love the fact that you can equally wear them in the day with a flat sandal but add a pair of earrings and a chunky for the evening as well.
Now onto a new brand that I absolutely love; Elizabeth Scarlett – you have probably seen my pouch obsession on instatories many times ( her pineapple pouches are my absolute favourite & I use them daily as makeup bags wash bags, and even as an extra bag inside my handbag – I seem to take them everywhere!) and now her palm print beach bag is my latest obsession. She also does gorgeous homeware that’s definitely on my wishlist…
Being a die hard fan of anything personalised there’s no forgetting some monogram action for that holiday suitcase. This summer it’s all about the initial slides from Rae Feather – the minute I saw them I knew it was love! As you may have seen on the blog; Rae Feather is my number one for everything personalised, I have the clutch and the beach bag (so far!) and these slides are my newest addition. They are the perfect beach to bar footwear and in dark denim they literally work with anything. I’m pretty confident these will come with me every holiday for the foreseeable future!
Neve & Noor is another new brand on my radar that I discovered through the world of Instagram. Her dresses are the perfect lightweight shapes for any holiday and I’ve got to say I had so many compliments on this dress when I wore it in the pink city. I love that the prints are just enough of a statement without being too out there and again I’m a big fan of frocks that can be worn day or night.
Since I discovered Paloma Blue a few years ago the printed trousers have become my go to travel attire for holidays. I love a comfy trew and these are perfect as you can not only wear them on the flight but they are also essential evening attire with a matching cami too! Everything is super silky and so easy to wear & obvs I love the fact that there are matching sets. Whether your prefer a shortie short or a classic wide leg (this pair are on my currently on my hotlist!) there’s coordinating tops & frocks in luxe prints that are the perfect companion to any chic holiday.
