There’s something about wearing all black. It’s so effortless, easy and always makes us feel ‘done’. Whatever the event; whether it’s drinks, a work dinner or a night out, it never fails to ooze sophistication. Especially on those days when you look through your wardrobe and you simply can’t put an outfit together – a chic black on black ensemble always does the trick. It sometimes feels like we have millions of the same-ish items in our wardrobe, but we’ve come to realise you really can never have enough of these core pieces!
When we heard about Canvas by Lands’ End, we were immediately drawn to the classic cuts and simple designs. The collection as a whole couldn’t be any more ‘Twinset’ with monochrome being at the core. We’ve finally found our one stop shop for our capsule wardrobe! We especially loved the black wide leg trousers (incredible elongating fit!), and the off-the-shoulder top that’s the perfect partner to our high waisted culottes – we were so impressed with the quality and style of these items. We always like to practice what we preach and this couldn’t be any more apt than with today’s outfit; simple, paired back dressing but with a luxe twist.
With our new fail-safe separates styled up (see how good they look mixed in with the items we already have in our wardrobes), we hit the streets of Notting Hill for a sunny street style shoot.
