BOILERSUITING

BOILERSUITING
We can confirm that finding a boilersuit / jumpsuit / onepiece whatever you want to call it is no easy feat. For some reason many can give you a weird looking long bum and as well as a camel toe at the same time – not nice! So here’s what we’ve learnt on our quest of finding the ultimate boilersuit….

1) Stick to silky fabrics – these glide and skim over limbs rather than add extra material to areas you’d rather not enhance.
2) Make sure it has a waist detail – this is essential! No one wants to look like they’re wearing a sack of potatoes!
3) Look for styles with turned up legs or sleeves – this especially helps if you’re legs are on the shorter side (like Sarah!). It also helps to avoid looking you’re actually off to fix someone’s pipes.. the flashing of the flesh gives it a more feminine edge.
4) Darker colours are the most flattering. This goes without saying obvs…but it’s true. Plus they work in both day and night scenarios – much more practical.
5) Make sure you don’t drink too much when you wear a boilersuit -going to the toilet is super annoying!

We found our new faves in Topshop and surprisingly both opted for styles with a little bit of detailing. Philippa’s embroidered back and Sarah’s badge detail gave them a really relaxed feel perfect for easy daytime style, but equally we love them with a heel as well… Basically they are so versatile and a great alternative on the weekend!

Philippa’s wearing:
Topshop boilersuit | Next sandals | Chloe bag | Taylor Morris sunglasses

Sarah’s wearing:
Topshop boilersuit | Christian Louboutin heels (similar here) | Gucci bag
