estée lauder… MODERN MUSE LE ROUGE LAUNCH

estée lauder…
MODERN MUSE LE ROUGE LAUNCH
We were so excited when Estée Lauder got in touch with us to ask to if we wanted to help with the press launch of the ‘Modern Muse Le Rouge’ perfume… ok, “so excited” was a slight understatement, we were ecstatic! Having both become true lovers of Estée’s iconic products like Double Wear Light (Philippa wore this on her wedding day and can’t recommend it enough for super long lasting foundation coverage) & Night Repair (this is our ultimate must have product for glowing complexion – we use it every night without fail), we couldn’t believe that we were being asked to work alongside this beauty empire.

As part of the launch for Le Rouge (which goes on sale today) and is Kendall Jenner’s first fragrance campaign for the brand, we were asked to curate the “Le Rouge styling suite” for members of press at Chiltern Firehouse. The fragrance is inspired by the colour red, a bold, timeless hue that exudes confidence. We love everything about it, check out the super cute bow bottle and its yummy mix of rose and creamy vanilla! As you may have seen recently on previous blog posts & insta pics, bright red is our new found, fave colour so this was a really exciting project for us.
To help bring a fashion element to the press launch, we styled up our very own bright red capsule wardrobe… As you can imagine, there were a few “statement flats” in our edit 🙂

Scroll down below to see what we got up to, what we wore, and our new red lippie shades you need to know about 🙂

We know you all loved our KG Black Bonds… think we’re going to need to invest in the killer red suede pair:

The Limited Edition ‘Modern Muse Le Rouge’ Makeup collection is exclusive to Selfridges and the fragrance is available now from EstéeLauder and counters nationwide, £64 for 50ml.
We are a little bit in with love the fruity, oriental scent!

Let’s just talk about these two box clutches…! We honestly could not stop looking and playing with them all night! We’ve come to realise, that even with the most boring & simple outfit, a statement pop of red is everything we need in life. Sorry to be so dramatic, we just get so excited by new lust-worthy accessories!

Here’s what we wore for the event:

Philippa’s wearing:
Zara top | H&M culottes (similar herehere) | Office shoes

Sarah’s wearing:
New Look top | Iris & Ink culottes | Office shoes

We obviously had to have a play with the amazing lippies for the evening and we’re pleased to say we’ve now found our perfect shades. It’s not easy finding a red lipstick to suit your skin tone and although we think we’re pretty twin like, it turns out we needed two very different shades of red!

In general we are quite natural lippie kinda girls and aren’t really used to the high maintenance of wearing a red lipstick. That was until we tried the Estée Lauder red lipsticks. They glide on so smooth and easy and literally last for hours – trust us, we had a big fat burger after the event and our lipstick did not budge. Fact!

*Just a little beauty tip – if you don’t like that stiff lipstick feeling (like us) use a ‘Lip Potion’ on top to add moisture, without the shine!*

Philippa’s lipstick shade (with a hint of coral):
Kendall Jenners Restless with Cold Fire on top

Sarah’s lipstick shade (bright, bright red!):
Volatile with Lethal Red on top
As part of the launch, we were also asked to style the lovely Zara Martin for the evening. Obvs bright red was the theme, so we chose this gorgeous Karen Millen lace & pleated dress (coming soon) and our fave multi strap pointed courts from Office:
Of course we finished off her look with a spritz of Modern Muse le Rouge…
