A few weeks back I spoke about how I was breaking free of jeans (momentarily!) and I really have stuck to it. I would go as far as to say that I’ve really noticed a difference in my day to day dressing. I’ve been reaching less and less for the denims and more for easy to wear trousers and a lot of frocks (more on that in another post!) As well as the key spring trouser shapes I spoke about here I’ve also been heavily into the khaki trouser. Now who doesn’t love the khaki trouser?! I’ve been wearing them since the 90’s (then they were a bit baggier – more All Saints style!) and now they are worn slim and rolled up and look as good with a wrap around sandal as they do with a Celine esque heel.
Let’s not forget that colour khaki works as a neutral, use it as you would black, white, grey & navy; khaki pretty much goes with anything. Try it with your brights, stripes and even pale spring pastels – khaki trousers are that versatile piece that everyone needs in their spring capsule wardrobes.
