Without doubt this season is the season of the blazer and it’s safe to say we have gone blazer mad! They’ve always been something we’ve enjoyed wearing but maybe more so for a meeting at work or with jeans for a fancy dinner. This level of blazer wearing however is something different…they have infiltrated our wardrobes left right and centre in every shape and style. We’re into checked styles, velvet styles, longline styles, oversized styles, double breasted styles – we’re into them ALL. It’s not just about the appreciation of the blazer though; it’s the uniform that goes with it. Those jeans with the perfect straight leg, high waist and the exact number of rips (cue H&M as our newest destination for that ultimate pair) and that tucked in t-shirt that’s baggy but not too baggy, maybe with a slogan or a slight distress. And the piece de resistance…that low kitten heel. It’s the low heel that gives this look a relaxed vibe making it the uniform we want to be wearing everyday for work & weekend.
The best thing about this look is that all it really needs is one well fitting blazer – then it’s time to have fun switching things up with jeans, tees & heels for so many different looks. We’ve paired ours with red and leopard but it would look so good with black and white or with navy stripes and red, basically all the classics. It’s real French girl style yet one of the easiest looks you can pull off. Not to mention the blazer is so flattering, it gives you shape at the shoulders and nips you in the waist, I mean do we need to sell it anymore?!
