We’re here to prove that our beloved stripes can be dressy, forget the day time connotations of dressed down style and hale the plethora of stripey trousers that are everywhere in the shops right now. In fact, whilst styling up this shoot we were quite amazed with quite how many stripey trousers there are….literally everywhere! And we pretty confident there are pair out there for everyone.
In terms of style, stripes can be a scary thought especially if you’re conscious of your bottom half, BUT thankfully vertical stripes are incredibly flattering. Forget looking at trews that are horizontally striped (these are for bean pole legs only) for optimum flattery wide legs are the way forward. Whether you try a more culotte style or a full on floorsweeping pair they are the most slimming styles out. Next add to your favourite black cami / off the shoulder top et voila…Saturday night stripes!
