We Are Twinset
10th July 2017

I’m always drawn to a good piece of tailoring and there’s something about jeans, tee & a blazer that always makes me feel good. It’s one of my go-tos when I don’t know what to wear and something that always feels ‘done’ whatever the occasion. For me, it’s the structure on the shoulder and nip in at the waist that feels flattering even on a day when you literally can’t bare anything in your wardrobe (I know we all have those days!)
I like to think I’m pretty much sorted in the black blazer department, this L.K. Bennett┬ánumber will forever be my favourite and for dressing up this tuxe style from Topshop.┬áIn the summer months I find it a little trickier, a sweltering black blazer just won’t cut it. Now whilst I love the look of a white blazer, namely this Reiss one which is an excellent fit; it’s hugely impractical for day to day life. I give myself one tube journey, a takeaway coffee and 10 hours in the office & I’m confident it won’t be white by the time I get home! With that in mind, a pale blush blazer is the way forward, it also feels more casual than bright white but summery enough for those days when the temperature is on the up. Underneath a slinky tee (for me this Other Stories is the one – I never realised how much my wardrobe was missing a khaki tee!) or a slogan tee, with a pair of frayed jeans and sandal. Not much to think about in the styling department but a look that always works.Reiss blazer (on sale) | Annoushka necklace | Stories tee (on sale) | Levis jeans | Topshop mules (similar here) |

Some more summer tailoring on the high street that I’m loving:
