I’ve got a (fashion!) confession to make – I really don’t like trousers. I feel 100% comfortable in jeans (& joggers lol!) but anything in between just doesn’t feel quite me. A few years ago a printed trouser or a culotte was my absolute go-to but as I’ve got older and become more aquainted with my uniform…trousers just don’t seem to fit in with my style. That said, I do like a challenge, so this week I challenged myself to get back on the trouser bandwagon & truthfully, I didn’t find it that hard! I was tempted with a black trouser but remembering it was Summer (I’ll use the word loosely) & that black would be an obvious/boring choice, I thought I’d go with the next best thing…khaki. Khaki is surprisingly one of the most easy to wear hues & quite simply goes with everything. I love khaki dressed up as much as I like it dressed down so thinking of ways to wear the khaki trousers was super easy. As for shape this season’s silhouette is best worn looser in the leg, slightly higher on the waist and cropped at the ankle. This clever cut helps to create that nipped in middle and trust me when I say, makes shorter legs look longer!
