VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE

VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE

Say hello to our new favourite wardrobe essentials, two items we’ve both individually been lusting after our whole lives but could never justify because they were too expensive. As much as we told ourselves they’re wardrobe classics, that will stand the test of time, we still couldn’t part with so much money on one item. That was until we discovered Vestiaire Collective. For those that aren’t familiar with the site; it is a luxury resale site that sells pre-owned items (many new and barely used as well!). Everything is authenticated and checked before it reaches the seller so there is no chance of counterfeits or mis-priced items, what you see is literally what you get.

We’ve often spent evenings browsing the site of all the things that are on our never ending wishlist; yet it was two items that really stood out for us and that we kept coming back to time and time again. For Philippa, it was the Acne oversized leather biker jacket (buttery soft leather, in the slouchiest, slickest shape) and for Sarah it was the Celine box bag – one of the most iconic Celine bags that makes everything look chic! We set up the easiest alerts that notified us when the items we wanted were in stock and within days our dreams had come true… we took the plunge and splurged! Although they were both still substantial investments we were paying a fraction of the price as well as the fact that they aren’t even available to buy anymore. Did we need any more convincing?!
